 Ulazimo u sam finiš Championshipa još jedan meč do finala na Wembley-ju juče je finale obezbedio Blackpool FC u čudesnom 2-om poluvremenu a  danas će mo saznati drugog finalistu Cardiff , sa golom prednosti dočekuje Leicester , što je ogromna prednost za Cardiff,  trener Dave Jones, ima na raspolaganju igrače, koji po svom kvalitetu, mogu da igraju u Premier-u. Uprava Cardiff-a, je sve karte bacila na promociju ove sezone, investirali su dosta novca, klub je trenutno u dugovima, koji ,po priznanju rukovodstva kluba, mogu biti bezbolno sanirani, samo ukoliko se klub domogne Premier lige. Drugim rečima, ogroman je pritisak na tim, da pobedama opravdaju poverenje uprave, čitaj-potrošene pare. Ekipa Leicester-a. nešto opuštenije ulazi u ovaj revanš, izgubili su potpuno zasluženo, u prvoj utakmici, igrali su suviše oprezno, primili gol posle prekida (strelac Peter Whittingham) a sada više zaista nemaju šta da izgube… Trener Leicester-a, Nigel Pearson, najviše očekuje od napadača Matt Fraytt-a, koji je dobru većinu sezone bio pravi vodja ovog tima, medjutim, prvu utakmicu play off-a, nije odigrao onako kako se od njega očekuje. Ipak, ruku na srce, ne može jedan čovek stalno da nosi igru. Pored toga, Leicester je tek jednu sezonu proveo u Championship-u, te bi zbog toga, možda i pravednije bilo da Cardiff ide na Wembley, naravno, pravda sa ovim nema nikakve veze .
 U ovom veku su se medjusobno sastajali 13. puta a Kardif je nešto uspešniji 6-4-3 14:10 kao i na svom terenu 4-1-2 10:7 . Zadnja dva meča na ovom terenu dobio je Kardif ove sezone  2-1 i prošle u kupu 4-2 .

Kardif je zadnja dva meča odigrao u gostima prvo poraz od Derbija 0-2 koji nije bio bolan a kojim su prekinuli niz od 10 meča bez poraza da bi potom u prvom meču ovog polufinala dobili Lester 1-0 .
Kardif je posle jedne loše serije u kojoj su na 9  meča zabeležili 6 poraza popravio formu i u samoj završnici na zadnih12. meča zabeležio 8 pobeda i u ovom periodu zabeležio skor 8-3-1 .
Na domaćem terenu nisu poraženi na zadnjih 7 meča 5-2-0 a imaju samo jedan poraz u zadnjih 14 meča u svim takmičenjima 9-4-1.
