Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri will be without the services of Gennaro Gattuso, Alexandre Pato, Ignazio Abate and Massimo Ambrosini due to injury while Kevin Prince-Boateng is suspended. Philippe Mexes has recovered from a long-term knee injury and could make his Milan debut at San Siro. Robinho has returned from a muscle problem and should slot directly into the starting line-up.

Interim boss Devis Mangia has the luxury of choosing from basically a fully-fit squad as Luca Di Matteo is the only injured player, however, Italy international Federico Balzaretti is banned and will miss the clash.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • AC Milan are currently in the midst of their worst start to a Serie A campaign since 2001 (W1 D2 L2).
  • The Scudetto holders do not boast any players with more than one goal so far this term.
  • Massimiliano Allegri's men have won three out of their last four matches against Palermo at San Siro.
  • Palermo have overcame Milan three times in the past two Serie A seasons.
  • The Sicilians have failed to score in two games away from the Renzo Barbera this term.
  • The last draw between the two teams in Serie A came in February 2007.

Prediction
The defending champions desperately need a win to get their league campaign back on track and have enough talent to take care of business against the Sicilians at San Siro.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS

NAPOLI

Campagnaro, Cannavaro, Aronica
Maggio, Dzemaili, Gargano, Dossena
Hamsik, Lavezzi
Cavani
PARMA

Mirante
Zaccardo, Paletta, Lucarelli, Gobbi
Biabiany, Morrone, Jadid, Modesto
Giovinco, Floccari
Walter Mazzarri will be glad to have a near full-strength squad at his disposal after the international break, with only Miguel Britos, Goran Pandev and Marco Donadel remaining on the sidelines for Napoli. However, it is expected that one of Gokhan Inler or Walter Gargano will be rested for the visit of Parma, as Blerim Dzemaili is ready to deputise in central midfield.

For the visitors, they are in a similarly strong position regarding first-team matters, with just Hernan Crespo being their only doubtful participant. Franco Colomba's decisions come in midfield, as Jonathan Biabiany is set to be picked ahead of Francesco Valiani on the right-hand side, and Jadid should get the nod rather than Daniele Galloppa in the centre.

DID YOU KNOW
  • Last season, Napoli won both fixtures against Parma, by two-goal scorelines each time.
  • However, the visitors have won twice in their past five visits to San Paolo, with Napoli also winning two.
  • Both sides have won just three of their last eight Serie A matches, dating back to last season.
  • Napoli have alternated between a win and a draw over their last four Serie A games on home soil.
  • They could also move top of the table with victory on Saturday, and possibly remain there if the other top five sides fail to win.
  • Meanwhile, Parma have taken just two points from their last four away fixtures, scoring just twice in the process.
  • Stefano Morrone became the first player to score for Parma other than Sebastian Giovinco this season, who had netted all of their first five goals.
  • Giovinco has scored 12 goals in 34 Serie A appearances for Parma since his arrival last year.

Prediction
The hosts, who possess Serie A's second-most prolific forward line, should have a comfortable ride against a Parma side who have the second-worst defensive record in the league. Napoli's stellar trident in attack will be showcased on Saturday, and it remains to be seen how much damage they will potentially inflict on their visitors.

Napoli 3-1 Parma

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola still has a number of first team squad players out with injury. Cesc Fabregas and Alexis Sanchez are still shelved with hamstring injuries and Ibrahim Afellay recently underwent surgery on his knee and will be out of action for six months.

However, the Catalan club will be buoyed by the return of Andres Iniesta who has resumed training after recovering from his hamstring tear. It is likely the Spaniard will be in the squad but the Barca coach may opt to ease the midfield maestro back into action with a substitute appearance.

Racing coach Hector Cuper will be without loanee Lautaro Acosta, who will be sidelined for around two months after injuring his knee against Sporting Gijon. Defender Osmar will also miss the Liga clash with the champions after spraining a knee ligament in training.

DID YOU KNOW?
  • Barcelona won this fixture 3-0 last season, with Pedro, Messi, and Iniesta grabbing the goals for the home side.
  • The starting line-up of Spain in the 3-1 win over Scotland on Tuesday included no less than seven Barcelona players.
  • Pep Guardiola's side have scored 19 more goals than Racing this season in La Liga so far, netting 23 goals to 4 in just six games.
  • Racing have not won a game so far in La Liga this season, notching up four draws and two losses.
  • Half of Racing's goals in La Liga this season have came in the first fifteen minutes.
  • Racing's last La Liga win came in May when they defeated Atletico Madrid 2-1 at El Sardinero.
Prediction
Eight Barcelona players featured midweek for Spain against Scotland so the slight fatigue of some players may spare Hector Cuper's side from losing by a deficit of five or higher. Racing have only scored four goals in La Liga so expect the visitors to park the bus and hope for the best. You cant see anything else but a comfortable Barcelona victory.
Editor's Prediction
Barcelona 3-0 Racing
