Brescia v Palermo
  • Brescia and Palermo have met 10 times in Serie A so far: the Rosanero lead by three wins to two, there have also been five draws (including 3-3 in the last meeting, back in April 2005).
  • Palermo have scored in each of their last five visits to the Rigamonti, losing only once at this ground in Serie A.
  • Brescia have not shared the points in their last nine home fixtures in the top-flight - their last draw at home was in January 2005 (1-1 against Fiorentina).
  • After drawing 0-0 against Cagliari in their opening fixture, Palermo have extended their unbeaten run in Serie A to seven games (four wins and three draws).
  • Last season, Palermo conceded exactly one goal in each of their first four Serie A games on the road.
  • Argentinean Javier Pastore completed the most dribbles in match-day 1 of Serie A (six).
  • Managers Giuseppe Iachini and Delio Rossi have met only once in the top-flight - Rossi had the better when he was leading Lazio, beating Iachini's Chievo by 2-1 in October 2008.

Cagliari v Roma
  • Roma are unbeaten in their last six Serie A meetings against Cagliari (three wins and three draws); however, they have conceded in each of their last three meetings with the Sardinians.
  • Roma have failed to beat Cagliari away from home since October 1995 - since then, the hosts have won five times, and shared the points on four occasions in the league.
  • Cagliari started last season by recording three consecutive defeats at home, conceding seven goals in the process.
  • The Giallorossi are unbeaten away from home since October 2009, when they lost at the Friuli against Udinese (2-1); since then, Claudio Ranieri's side have managed eight wins and five draws on the road.
  • Roma picked up 34 points in 19 away fixtures in 2009-10 - a Serie A-high for the season.
  • David Pizarro completed the most passes on match-day 1 of Serie A this season (86), while teammate Francesco Totti had the most unsuccessful passes (22).
  • The Sardinians are winless in their last 15 games - currently the longest run in Serie A.
  • This will be the first ever meeting between the two managers, Pierpaolo Bisoli and Claudio Ranieri.

Catania v Parma
  • Catania and Parma have met six times in the top-flight: the Sicilians lead by two wins to one, with three draws completing the record.
  • At home, Catania are unbeaten against Parma in the league: two wins and a draw without conceding a single goal.
  • Catania are still unbeaten at home in 2010 (seven wins and a draw so far).
  • Catania lost on match-day 1 against Chievo this season; last season they did not start well either, recording three consecutive defeats followed by four draws.
  • Parma committed the joint-most fouls on the opening day of this competition (24).
  • Sebastian Giovinco attempted the most dribbles on match-day 1 (12, but only four of these were successful).
  • Pasquale Marino is unbeaten in his three previous Serie A meetings against Marco Giampaolo, in light of two wins and a draw.




Cesena v AC Milan
  • AC Milan have won their last five league meetings with Cesena, without conceding a single goal in the process.
  • Cesena have managed to score only one goal in their last eight meetings with the Rossoneri in the top-flight.
  • However, the record of previous meetings between these two sides at Cesena's ground is perfectly even: four wins each and a draw.

  • The hosts are unbeaten at the Marassi so far - one win and a draw.
  • Chievo have not drawn a single game in their last eight Serie A fixtures.
  • Genoa have not drawn in their last seven games.
  • Genoa started with a win this season, as in last season when they started with three consecutive wins.
  • The Grifoni won only one of their last four games at home last season.
  • Chievo lost four of their last six away games last term, winning and sharing the points once.
  • Chievo recorded the best shooting accuracy on match-day 1 (78%, seven of their nine shots were on target).
  • This will be the first ever meeting between the two managers, Giampiero Gasperini and Stefano Pioli.




Inter v Udinese
  • Inter are unbeaten in their last 12 meetings with Udinese in the league; the Bianconeri's last win was back in February 2004 (2-1 at the San Siro).
  • The Nerazzurri have won their last three games against Udinese; prior to this run, these two sides had shared the points four times in a row.
  • Inter are unbeaten at home in the league since March 2008, when they lost against Juventus 2-1 - a run of 41 fixtures.
  • Udinese have managed only one win from their last 20 Serie A games on the road.
  • Wesley Sneijder attempted the most shots on match-day 1 of Serie A (seven).
  • Last season, Udinese managed only one win away from home - a competition-low.
  • Udinese's new manager, Francesco Guidolin, has faced Inter 23 times so far, winning only on four occasions - six draws and 13 defeats complete his record against the Nerazzurri.





Juventus v Sampdoria
  • Juventus and Sampdoria have shared one win each in their last six Serie A meetings - four draws in the process.
  • The Blucerchiati have netted only three goals on their last nine visits to Juventus in Serie A.
  • The Old Lady are on a run of three consecutive league defeats - currently the worst run amongst Serie A sides.
  • The last time Juve lost four in a row was back in 1961/62 (seven consecutive defeats between March and April 1962).
  • Sampdoria are unbeaten in their last nine league games between this season and last (seven wins and two draws).
  • Sampdoria started this campaign with a 2-0 win over Lazio - last season the Blucerchiati notched up four consecutive wins in the first four match-days of Serie A.
  • This will be the sixth meeting between the two managers, Gigi Del Neri and Domenico Di Carlo - Juve's manager currently leads by four wins to one.
  • Del Neri will face his former side, Sampdoria for the 11th time in the top-flight: only two wins for him so far against the Blucerchiati, three draws and five defeats.




Lazio v Bologna
  • Lazio are unbeaten at the Olimpico in their last 10 Serie A meetings against Bologna (seven wins for the Biancocelesti and three draws).
  • Bologna are on a run of four consecutive draws in the league, three consecutive 1-1 draws before the goalless draw against Inter.
  • Bologna have managed only one win from their last 12 Serie A fixtures (2-1 against Parma at the Dall'Ara last April).
  • Away from home, Bologna have drawn their last thee games by 1-1 - prior to this, they had lost three consecutive games on the road.
  • Only one of Lazio's 16 shots against Sampdoria on match-day 1 was on target: 6.3%, the worst shooting accuracy so far in this campaign.
  • Bologna recorded the worst passing accuracy on match-day 1 (69.9%); however, they managed to hold Inter to a goalless draw at the Dall'Ara.
  • Lazio's manager, Edy Reja leads by two wins to one in the head to head against Alberto Malesani in the top-flight.




Lecce v Fiorentina
  • Five of the last seven meetings between these two sides at the Via del Mare have ended in a draw - each side have also won once in the process.
  • Lecce have drawn their last two Serie A games at home 1-1.
  • Fiorentina are winless in their last eight league games (four draws and four defeats).
  • Away from home, the Viola are on a run of three consecutive defeats, and have picked up only one point from their last five games on the road.
  • Despite conceding four goals against AC Milan on match-day 1, Lecce's goalkeeper Antonio Rosati made the most saves in the league (10).
  • Lecce's manager, Gigi De Canio has won only one of his previous seven meetings against Fiorentina in the top-flight - three draws and as many defeats complete the record.




Napoli v Bari
  • Napoli have won their last four Serie A meetings with Bari.
  • The Partenopei have won 10 of their last 11 games against Bari at the San Paolo in the top-flight, sharing the points once.
  • Napoli have managed to keep a clean sheet in nine of those fixtures.
  • Beating Juventus in the opening fixture of this campaign, Bari have extended their unbeaten run to four games (three wins and a draw between this season and last).
  • Away from home Bari have managed only one win in their last 15 league games.
  • Napoli collected the most cards on match-day 1 of this Serie A campaign (four yellow and a red).
  • Napoli were the only side who failed to win from a leading position on match-day 1, drawing 1-1 after having taken the lead against Fiorentina, courtesy of a Cavani goal.
  • The Uruguayan international has already netted three goals for his new team: a brace against Elfsborg in the Europa League on top of that one against Fiorentina.
  • Walter Mazzarri boasts a 100% record in his three previous meetings against Giampiero Ventura in the top-flight.
