20-02-2011 12:30 Lecce - Juventus

The Struggle Continues

Heading into Week 26, Lecce find themselves trapped in the relegation quagmire. Having mustered just 24 points from 25 matches, the Lupi Are a mere two points above the dropzone.

Last weekend Lecce suffered their second defeat in a row in the league as they went down 3-2 to Catania in Sicily. It followed a 4-2 hammering at home by Palermo.

Lecce will have revenge on their mind as in the reverse fixture in October were hammered 4-0 by Juventus in Turin.

Hunt For Champions League Football Continues

Juventus' chase for a top-four place in Serie A continues after last weekend's massive victory over Inter in Turin. The 1-0 victory in the Derby d'Italia revived the Bianconeri's collapsed 2010-11 campaign and they are back on their bike.

With 41 points from 25 matches, Luigi Del Neri's side are currently placed sixth in the league table and are just four points behind Lazio, who are fourth. With Palermo and Roma both struggling and below them in the table, the Old Lady do have the chance to carve their way into the top-four but for that they need to build on last weekend's win.

Juventus, though, do not have a very encouraging away form as they have won just five of the 13 matches on the road this season.
