LAST MEETING

June 10, 1998: Brazil 2-1 Scotland

Brazil ran out winners at the Stade de France in Group A of the 1998 World Cup. The Samba Boys took the lead in the fourth minute with a goal from Cesar Sampaio, but Scotland hit back through a John Collins penalty. They held on for 73 minutes before a Tom Boyd own goal gave Brazil the three points.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS

Brazil: Cesar; Maicon, Lucio, Silva, Luiz; Ramires, Lucas, Sandro; Elano, Jo, Nilmar.

Scotland: McGregor; Whittaker, Caldwell, Wilson, Crainey; Snodgrass, Adam, Bannan, Commons; Miller, Naismith.

Prediction
This should be an open contest and one Scotland will relish, but the Brazilians should have too much fire-power for Craig Levein's side and despite being pushed hard they should run out with a victory at the Emirates Stadium.

Brazil 3-1 Scotland
