Auxerre - AC Ajaccio

- AJA drew 1-1 with Bordeaux last weekend, with Ajaccio holding fellow new-boys Evian TG by the same scoreline.
- In 2010-11, the Burgundy side failed to win at home against any of the promoted sides.
- Both Ajaccio goals this season have been netted by Frederic Sammaritano - who netted for Auxerre in the Champions League last season.
Auxerre
Laurent Fournier is still without the services of Cedric Hengbert who is nursing a torn ankle ligament and is out. Yaya Sanogo is edging towards a recall, with Olivier Sorin expected to be back in the side.
AC Ajaccio
Olivier Pantaloni's men have no such injury concerns ahead of the encounter.
Evian TG - Dijon FCO
- New boys Evian are unbeaten in the league after a trio of games, winning once and drawing twice - 1-1 at Ajaccio last weekend.
- Dijon grabbed their first win of the season with a superb 2-0 victory at home to Lorient.
- The Annecy club have won their last six home matches.
- Patrice Carteron's men won their two Ligue 2 clashes against Evian last season.
Evian TGSasa Cilinsek will continue to miss the next two to three weeks with a hip problem. The Serb joins Bertrand Laquait in the physio's room.
Dijon FCO
No injuries to report from the Dijon camp ahead of Saturday's encounter.
Lorient - Nancy
- FC Lorient suffered a shock defeat against new-boys Dijon, going down 2-0 away last weekend.
- Nancy's poor start to the season continued with a 2-1 reverse to Sochaux last Saturday.
- Jean Fernandez's men have failed to win any of their last five trips to Stade du Moustoir.
- Christian Gourcuff's men haven't won at home for eight games - currently their longest winless run.
Lorient
Julian Quercia was hospitalised with a broken ankle in last week's encounter with Dijon. The attacker is expected to be out for three months with the news coming as a blow to Christian Gourcuff. Kevin Monnet-Paquet, Sigamary Diarra and Arnold Mvuemba are all doubtful.
Nancy
Samba Diakhite is the only major injury worry for Jean Fernandez.
Nice - Stade Brestois
- Nice recorded a 1-1 home draw against Toulouse, leaving them with their first point from three matches this season.
- Stade Brestois' drew for the third consecutive game, this time 1-1 against Olympique Lyonnais last weekend.
- Both encounters between Nice and Brest last season ended in draws.
- Only three of Brest's last 11 Ligue 1 games have ended in anything other than a draw.
Nice
Francois Clerc returns for the side after missing the last few games. Emerse Fae and Kafoumba Coulibaly are also doubts.
Stade Brestois
Jonathan Ayite is struggling with a calf strain and isn't expected back for three weeks. Brahim Ferradj is out until 2012 with a torn knee ligament. Moise Brou Apanga is out with a damaged knee cartilage and won't be expected back until mid-October.
Valenciennes - Bordeaux
- Valenciennes succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to PSG last weekend, after Nene's 64th minute winner consigned them to defeat.
- Bordeaux drew 1-1 with Auxerre, leaving Francois Gillot's men with two points out of apossible nine.
- Bordeaux have failed to win any of their last seven away games in Ligue 1.
- Valenciennes are unbeaten in their last 12 home games at Stade Nungesser and Stade du Hainaut.
Valenciennes
Rudy Mater, Kenny Lala and Guillaume Loriot are all nursing knocks picked up last weekend. Otherwise, no such concerns for Daniel Sanchez to mull over.
Bordeaux
Defender Henrique is doubtful for the encounter, with Gregory Sertic returning from suspension. Francois Gillot expected to line-up as they were.
Olympique Lyon - Montpellier
- Olympique Lyon were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw away to Stade Brestois last weekend. Remi Garde's men have totalled five points from three games.
- Leaders Montpellier thrashed Europa League hopefuls Stade Rennes 4-0 to top the table with three wins from three. The only side left with a 100% record.
- Lyon were involved in midweek Champions League action. A 1-1 draw against Rubin Kazan saw them progress 4-2 on aggregate. Remi Garde's side were subsequently drawn against Real Madrid, Ajax and Dinamo Zagreb.
- Les Gones have won five of their last six league encounters with Montpellier.
Olympique Lyon
Lyon may look to rest a few stars after their Champions League qualification was secured. Yoann Gourcuff, who had been out with an ankle problem lately, could be back this weekend but his participation is unlikely.
Montpellier
Rene Girard has the luxury of a fully-fit squad as his side looks to consolidate top spot.
Stade Rennes - Caen
- Stade Rennes were thrashed 4-0 by Montpellier last weekend. Les Rouge et Noir have four points from three games.
- Caen's 100% record came to an end when they were beaten by Lille 2-1 at Stade Michel d'Orano.
- Les Malherbes have won just one of their eight trips to Stade de Route de la Lorient.
- Rennes have failed to win any of their last seven home games
Stade Rennes
Frederic Antoinetti can recall Vincent Pajot, Onyekachi Apam, Chris Mavinga and Jires Kembo-Ekoko to the side yet with Europa League participation, he could well rotate his side yet again following their 4-0 thrashing last weekend.
Caen
No injury reports to report from Franck Dumas' men this weekend. A fully fit squad is at his disposal.
Sochaux - Saint Etienne
- Sochaux recorded a 2-1 victory against Nancy last weekend. Mehmed Bazdarevic's men have four points from a possible nine.
- Saint Etienne held their own as they ground out a 0-0 draw at Marseille.
- Les Lionceaux have won five of their last six home games.
- St Etienne have lost 10 of their last 12 trips to Stade Auguste Bonal.
Sochaux
Les Lionceaux are sweating on the fitness of Yassin Mikari and Edouard Butin for the visit of Les Verts. No other pressing injury concerns for Mehmed Bazdarevic.
Saint Etienne
Les Verts have two long-term injury worries. Alejandro Alonso and Yoann Andreu (knee) are out until December, with no short-term concerns surrounding the club ahead of Sunday's clash.
Toulouse - PSG
- Toulouse were held in a 1-1 stalemate with OGC Nice last weekend. Le Tefece have seven points from a possible nine.
- Free spending Paris Saint Germain beat Valenciennes 2-1 at home last Sunday. The Parisiens have also made it to the Europa League group stages.
- PSG have kept only one clean sheet in their last 16 away Ligue 1 games.
- Toulouse have kept a clean sheet in their last four home games
Toulouse
Ayman Abdennour suffered muscle pain last weekend, with the left back out till mid-September. Etienne Didot and Emmanuel Riviere are also doubts for the visit of the free spending giants.
PSG
Javier Pastore is in line for a first Ligue 1 start after making his debut last weekend. Mamadou Sakho is out with a hip injury and joins Christophe Jallet on the treatmant table.
Lille - Olympique Marseille
- Champions Lille got their first win of the season by beating Caen 2-1 last weekend.
- Marseille's unique run of draws, six in total now, continued as they were held 0-0 by Saint Etienne.
- Lille will play Inter Milan, CSKA Moscow and Trabzonspor in the Champions League.
- Similarly, L'OM will encounter Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Olympiakos.
- Their previous encounter in July's Trophee des Champions ended 5-4 to Marseille after Lille were 3-1 ahead with five minutes to go.
- Loïc Rémy has scored four goals in his three competitive appearances against Lille as a Marseille player.
Lille
No pressing worries for Rudi Garcia, with the only main concern coming from David Rozehnal, who is still sidelined with a knee problem.
Marseille
OM have been dealt a blow with the news Stephane Mbia is out for two months. Cesar Azpilicueta has suffered a torrid time at right back and maybe replaced by Rod Fanni. Loic Remy and Morgan Amalfitano are facing a race against time to be fit to face the league champions with Andre-Pierre Gignac in line for a start.
