Bastian Schweinsteiger is set to return after missing the DFB Pokal clash with FC Ingolstadt with a cold, while Jerome Boateng will be suspended after receiving a red card during last weekend's defeat to Hannover. Dutch winger Arjen Robben is back in training, but is still some way away from making a first team return.

Dieter Hecking is still lacking a number of players for the trip to the Allianz Arena. Bayern Munich old-boy Markus Feulner is set to miss a return to his old stadium, along with Javier Pinola and Christian Eigler. Swiss forward Albert Bunjaku is a serious doubt, but defender Timm Klose is set to return to the fold.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Bayern Munich have conceded just four goals in all competitions this season.
  • The league leaders recorded a 3-0 victory over their Bavarian rivals in the corresponding fixture last season.
  • Jupp Heynckes' men are undefeated against Nurnberg since 2005-06.
  • Nurnberg have not won away at their local rivals since 1991-92, and have never beaten Bayern at the Allianz Arena.
  • The Frankenstadion side have been relegated from the Bundesliga on seven occasions - more than any other side.
  • Nurnberg have won none of their last five Bundesliga games.

Prediction
Bayern Munich are a cut above their Bavarian rivals, and despite their differing recent form, expect Jupp Heynckes' side to showcase that on Sautrday with a convincing victory over Dieter Hecking's men.
