Cyprus go into the friendly with an inexperienced side, with veteran players such as Ioannis Okkas and Michalis Konstantinou left out of the squad along with other regulars Constantinos Makrides and Constantinos Charalambides.

Craig Levein’s side arrived in Cyprus without the services of David Marshall, Alan Hutton, Lee Wallace, Charlie Adam and Graham Dorrans, who all dropped out of the original squad due to injury.

This has led to surprise call-ups for St Mirren goalkeeper Craig Samson, MK Dons defender Gary MacKenzie and Hearts midfielder Ryan Stevenson, while Levein has also handed Under-21 hitman Jordan Rhodes a call-up for the Larnaca clash.
