Craig Levein’s side arrived in Cyprus without the services of David Marshall, Alan Hutton, Lee Wallace, Charlie Adam and Graham Dorrans, who all dropped out of the original squad due to injury.
This has led to surprise call-ups for St Mirren goalkeeper Craig Samson, MK Dons defender Gary MacKenzie and Hearts midfielder Ryan Stevenson, while Levein has also handed Under-21 hitman Jordan Rhodes a call-up for the Larnaca clash.

- The last time the two sides met in Cyprus it took a Richard Gough winner, six minutes into injury time to seal all three points during the 1990 World Cup qualifier.
