The Toffees have reached the final the last six times they have made it to the FA Cup semi-finals: three times in extra time and once on penalties (vs Man Utd in 2009).
Only Manchester City (seven) have played more FA Cup semi-finals since they were last eliminated at this stage than the Toffees (six).
Liverpool v Everton has seen more red cards than any other Premier League fixture (20), while the Reds were reduced to 10 men in their last FA Cup tie against the Toffees.
Everton have won four and lost none of their last five matches in all competitions.
Only three teams have previously won the League Cup and FA Cup in the same season: Arsenal in 92/93, Liverpool in 00/01 and Chelsea in 06/07.
With a victory against Everton, Liverpool would be take one step closer to becoming the first team to achieve two FA/League Cup doubles, after they won both cups in 2000/01.
Liverpool have only kept one clean sheet in their last 12 games in all competitions, but that was against Everton (3-0 in the Premier League).

Tottenham v Chelsea
Chelsea have reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup 19 times previously, progressing to the final 10 times.
After being eliminated in seven of their first eight FA Cup semi-finals, the Blues have reached the final on nine of the last 11 occasions they have made the final four.
Tottenham have lost their last five FA Cup semi-finals, and haven't the made the final of the competition since 1991.
Only one team has ever been knocked out in more than five consecutive FA Cup semi-finals, but that was Chelsea (six, between 1920 and 1966).
Overall, however, Spurs have won nine and lost nine of 18 FA Cup semi-final ties.
These two London rivals have been drawn together eight times before in the FA Cup, with each side progressing four times.
On the last two occasions Tottenham have beaten Chelsea in the cup, they have gone on to lift the trophy.
Chelsea have only lost one of their last 32 FA Cup matches (excluding penalty shootout defeats).
That one defeat, 0-1 against Barnsley in March 2008, is also the only time the Blues have failed to score in their last 38 FA Cup games (95 goals in total).
Excluding penalty shoot-out defeats, Chelsea are unbeaten in 21 FA Cup games, only one side has ever gone longer without defeat in the competition: Blackburn Rovers between October 1883 and November 1886 (23 games).
Tottenham have only won four of their last 13 games in all competitions, drawing five and losing four.
Chelsea have won eight and lost just one of 11 games under new manager Roberto Di Matteo.
Since the start of the 2006/07 competition, Frank Lampard has scored more goals than any other player in the FA Cup proper (18).
