Getafe are still without on-loan Real Madrid midfielder Pedro Leon, who is currently sidelined with a serious knee injury. Abdel Barrada received two yellow cards in the club's 2-1 defeat to Sporting Gijon last weekend so is therefore suspended.

Dani Alves will return to the Barcelona starting line-up after missing the Catalan club's 3-2 Champions League win against AC Milan on Wednesday through suspension, with Carles Puyol expected to partner Gerard Pique in the centre of defence.

Andres Iniesta looks likely to miss out again with a thigh strain, meaning Cesc Fabregas could drop back into a more withdrawn role. Pedro is fit after suffering from an ankle problem, yet could start the game on the bench, and with Alexis Sanchez continuing his return from injury, the Chilean could be given a start, too.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Getafe have won only three of their last 15 games, all of them at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
  • This is the Madrid-based club's worst-ever start to a league campaign after 12 games (10 points, four fewer than last season).
  • Miku has grabbed five goals this season in 12 La Liga matches, meaning he is only two away from his overall tally in the 2010-11 campaign.
  • Barcelona are currently on a run of 16 games unbeaten in La Liga, with their last defeat coming against Real Sociedad in April.
  • In 14 Primera meetings versus Getafe, the Catalan giants have won 10, drawn three and lost one.
  • David Villa ended a six-game Liga goalless streak last weekend when he netted for his side in the 4-0 home win against Zaragoza.

Prediction
Barcelona have a near full-strength squad to choose from and will fancy their chances against a struggling Getafe side. Impressive attacking performances against Real Sociedad and AC Milan will boost the reigning champions who could go goal crazy on Saturday evening.

Lazio coach Edy Reja has a mounting injury list to contend with, as Simone Del Nero, Stefano Mauri, Javier Garrido, Albano Bizzarri, Andre Dias, Libor Kozak, Stephen Makinwa and Matuzalem have all been ruled out of this encounter.

It is possible that the former Napoli trainer will name an unchanged XI from last week's goalless draw with Napoli, despite Djibril Cisse's return to the fold. However, the Frenchman has endured a difficult start to his career in Italy, with just one goal since his arrival from Panathinaikos during the summer, and is expected to start on the bench.

Meanwhile for Juventus, Andrea Pirlo's muscular setback means that fellow summer recruit Michele Pazienza should get the nod to replace him in central midfield and feature alongside Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal. However, the Italy playmaker will undergo a late fitness test prior to the match on Saturday.

DID YOU KNOW

  • Lazio have lost 68 games against Juventus, more than against any other Serie A side.
  • Edy Reja's men have not scored more than two goals in their last 18 league meetings with the Bianconeri.
  • However, Lazio are unbeaten in their last nine league matches, winning six of them, and have kept clean sheets in the last three.
  • Juventus are the only Serie A side still unbeaten this season, after recording six wins and four draws.
  • The Old Lady have conceded just three times in their last eight league games away from home.
  • Midfielder Claudio Marchisio has already scored five goals in 10 games, his highest-ever tally in a Serie A campaign.
  • Juventus are unbeaten in their last 13 matches against Lazio, with nine wins and four draws.

Prediction
Both teams have built their successes on watertight defences and profiency in front of goal this season, and it will be no surprise if this one ends a point a piece. While Lazio may lack the likes of Andre Dias to marshall their defence, Andrea Pirlo's absence may heavily impact on Juventus' possession play and functionality.

Real Madrid will be without Ricardo Carvalho, who is still recovering from a back injury. Jose Mourinho had a full squad in training on Thursday but different intensity levels of work were present throughout the squad. Kaka and Alvaro Arbeloa are still struggling with injury and trained separately from the squad.

Meanwhile, Brazilian left-back Marcelo returned to training after three weeks out with a thigh strain and may be in line to start in defence. Angel Di Maria is also near full fitness after recovering from his hamstring injury and looks likely to feature against Atletico.

Cristiano Ronaldo is also expected to return to the starting lineup after he was left on the bench for the 6-2 win over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday, while Nuri Sahin may make his full league debut after impressing in the Champions League rout.

Gregorio Manzano and Atletico Madrid are still sweating over the fitness of star striker Radamel Falcao, who is battling to be fit after picking up a muscle injury on international duty with Colombia.

One positive for the visitors was the return of the influential Jose Antonio Reyes to the squad for the win against Levante. The former Arsenal man previously had a disagreement with coach Manzano but after his impressive substitute appearance last weekend, it appears that he is back in the frame for Atletico.

DID YOU KNOW?
  • The last match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid ended in a 2-1 victory for Jose Mourinho's side. Karim Benzema and Mesut Ozil scored in that fixture to see their side seal a derby win in March 2011.
  • Madrid have won all of their games at home this season, while averaging 4.25 goals per match in the Spanish top flight in 2011-12.
  • Mesut Ozil completed his first 90 minutes for Real Madrid in this season's La Liga in last weekend's 3-2 win over Valencia.
  • Atletico Madrid have scored less than half the amount of goals that Real Madrid have notched up in La Liga this season, with 17 to their rivals' 42.
  • Colombian striker Radamel Falcao is Atletico's top goalscorer this season, with seven goals.
  • It has been over a decade since Atletico recorded a victory over their city rivals.

Prediction
Real Madrid have been imperious at home this season and have not let their city rivals record a win in over a decade. Jose Mourinho's side continued their impressive form midweek, scoring an impressive six goals against Dinamo Zagreb. This form is certainly a danger for Atletico, who have not been living up to expectations this season. Real Madrid should create plenty of chances in this match, and are likely to notch up a few goals. However, the two late goals conceded midweek prove that the Madrid defence can lose concentration at times, which is why Atletico need to be ruthless in their attacking.

Real Madrid 3-1 Atletico Madrid

Arsenal are short on numbers in their defence with Bacary Sagna, Carl Jenkinson and Kieran Gibbs all missing with long term injuries. Laurent Koscielny will likely start at right-back again, while Johan Djoruou provides an alternative option for Arsene Wenger.

Abou Diaby could feature on the bench with Tomas Rosicky as the Frenchman may stick with same midfield trio that played against Borussia Dortmund and Norwich in the past two games. Robin van Persie is certain to start up-front with Gervinho and Theo Walcott either side of him, as the system has been fruitful for the Gunners over the past month. Fulham should be mainly unchanged from the draw with Sunderland last week.  Zdenek Grygera is still missing for Martin Jol with a knee injury, so Chris Baird will remain at right-back. John Arne Riise should return to the team after missing the clash with the Black Cats to attend the birth of his son.
Aaron Hughes could drop to the bench or partner Brede Hangeland in the central of defence, but Jol could keep Philippe Senderos in the line-up after good performance last week. Steve Sidwell could also return for the Cottagers.

DID YOU KNOW

  • Since losing the north London derby on October 2, Arsenal have won five games in a row in the Premier League. This has taken them to seventh place in the table.
  • Robin van Persie (pictured right) is the leading scorer in the top-flight with 13 goals. The Dutchman has scored in five succesive matches netting 10 goals including a hat-trick against Chelsea.
  • The Gunners skipper has scored over half of his side’s 25 league goals while Alex Song and Gervinho have contributed by assisting four times each this season, putting them in the top 10 in the league.
  • Arsenal and Fulham have met 48 times in the league, with Gunners winning 33 times and the Cottagers just seven. The remaining eight matches have finished as draws.

  • The Cottagers have never won at Arsenal in 24 attempts, conceding 61 goals in the process whilst only scoring 19 themselves.
  • Fulham’s last win over Arsenal came at Craven Cottage in 2008 when Brede Hangeland netted a first half header to give the hosts - at the time - a win.

The last time Atlético were relegated (1999/00) they had the same number of wins after 12 games as they do this season (four).

The merengues have only failed to find the net once in their last 31 league meetings with Atlético.

Real Madrid are on a run of eight straight league wins, their best run since the arrival of José Mourinho.

Real Madrid have bagged 75 goals in their last 20 league matches, averaging 3.75 goals per game.

Atlético have only managed to win back-to-back games once so far this season (at home to Sporting and Racing).

Real Madrid have scored the most goals in the league so far (42).

Atlético have scored the most headed goals in LigaBBVA so far (six), while Real Madrid are yet to concede a goal in this way.

José Mourinho's men have scored the most goals from corners so far (four).

Real Madrid have won all six games with Gonzalo Higuaín so far this season in the league, scoring 4.3 goals per game (2.6 without him).

Atlético are one of the four teams against whom Cristiano Ronaldo has played in Primera but has not scored (along with Levante, Betis and Sporting).

Atlético are unbeaten in the three league games when José Antonio Reyes has come on as a sub (two wins, one draw).

Real Zaragoza - Sevilla FC

There has been just one draw in the last 12 league clashes between Zaragoza and Sevilla (six wins for the maños, four for Sevilla).

Just two of Sevilla's last 22 top-flight goals against Zaragoza have been scored by a Spanish player (both Negredo).

Sevilla are yet to lose on the road in the league this season, and have the joint-best defensive record away from home (two goals conceded, the same as Valencia).

Sevilla have received the joint-most red cards in LigaBBVA this season (four, level with Espanyol).

In the last seven years in LigaBBVA, Sevilla have scored six goals in the 90th minute against Zaragoza, more than any side against any other.

Real Zaragoza and Sevilla are the only two LigaBBVA sides who are yet to score between the 61st and 75th minutes this season.

Zaragoza have conceded the most goals from inside the area in the league this season (24), but have also scored all of their own from inside the box.

Marcelino has met his previous club four times in the league, drawing each of them.

Pérez Lasa is one of three referees yet to take charge of a draw in La Liga this season.

Peter Odemwingie is still likely to be missing through a knee injury, much to the annoyance of West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson. Shane Long suffered a leg injury in training but is expected to be fit.

Graham Dorrans turned his ankle at the end of the win against Bolton Wanderers and Paul Scharner has a grade one tear to the medial ligament in his left knee. Both players are battling to make the match.

Tottenham are still missing David Bentley, Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone, but have no other injury problems.

DID YOU KNOW

  • Scott Parker (pictured right) is set to make his 350th Premier League appearance; since he joined Tottenham Hotspur they have won eight of their nine matches, drawing the other.
  • Jermain Defoe scored five goals for Spurs against a Charlton XI on Tuesday, two years exactly to the day that he hit five against Wigan in a 9-1 win.
  • Harry Redknapp's charges have also scored at least two goals in nine of their 12 matches.
  • They are one of two clubs (alongside Fulham) who have not scored a penalty this year.
  • West Bromwich Albion scored only their fourth and fifth goals at home against Bolton.
  • The 2-1 win was just their second home win all season.
  • Shane Long’s header was only their first goal from a cross in the league.
  • Roy Hodgson's men are the only side not to have scored in the last 10 minutes of any match.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson misses the services of Tom Cleverley, who is expected to be sidelined until Christmas. Darron Gibson (ankle) and Michael Owen (thigh) are also out for the coming fixture, while Anderson is unavailable until February with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck are slight doubts for the encounter at Old Trafford but either could start alongside Javier Hernandez.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew will have to make do without Sylvain Marveaux, who is out with a groin injury. Michael Williamson (ankle) joins the Frenchman in the treatment room. Nile Ranger and James Tavernier are also unavailable, as the duo have gone out on loan to Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.

Leon Best, Gabriel Obertan and Cheick Tiote are all doubts for this game.

DID YOU KNOW

  • Manchester United are undefeated in their last 17 matches against Newcastle United in the Premier League.
  • Barring Manchester City (42), the Red Devils have scored the most number of goals in the top-flight, with 29 against their name.
  • But in their last five matches in the league, Sir Alex Ferguson's men have scored only one goal in each game. This includes the draw with Liverpool and the loss to City.
  • Newcastle United have never beaten these opponents at Old Trafford in Premier League history.
  • But they are well positioned to rewrite history books, since they are currently placed fourth in the standings. Moreover, they have lost to only one team in the top-flight this season, which came in the form of a 3-1 defeat at Eastlands in the last round of games.
  • Alan Pardew's men may have conceded three goals in their last league clash, but they still remain a miserly defence. Along with Liverpool and Manchester City, they have conceded the joint fewest number of goals so far (11).

Andre Villas-Boas will have plenty to think about in terms of who keeps their place following a poor run of form, but wholesale changes probably won’t occur against Wolves. There will probably be minor tweaks, with Fernando Torres possibly coming in to replace Didier Drogba ,who scored in the defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, though there could be some young players filling in for tired legs after two long games in one week.
For Wolves, Richard Stearman looks set to miss out with a broken wrist, and Ronald Zubar could fill in for his first appearance in nine months, while both Jamie O'Hara and Stephen Hunt are both missing due to suspension. Expect Nenad Milijas and Adlene Guedioura to step in.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Since their 5-0 thrashing of Genk in October, Chelsea have only won two games, and one of those was after extra time in the League Cup.
  • Wolves have not kept a clean sheet in nine league games, since the 0-0 draw against Aston Villa in late August.
  • Wolves have won only one of their last six games, while Chelsea have won three and lost three.
  • Mick McCarthy's visitors have lost their last four away games, conceding nine goals in the process.
  • Wolves are yet to receive a red card this season, whereas Chelsea have seen three players receive their marching orders.
  • The Blues haven't lost at home to Wolves since 1979, but the Midlands outfit did pick up a win when the sides last met at Molineux back in January.
