15.04. (Thu) 20:00 Almeria - Real

  • Almeria have won only once against Real Madrid in La Liga (2-0 in February 2008); with the Merengues winning six times and two draws completing their record against one another.
  • That win for Almeria was also the only occasion in which Real Madrid have failed to score in this fixture.
  • At home, Almeria have lost only once in four meetings against Real so far however; in September 1980. Since then, the Andalusians have managed a win and a draw at home against the Blancos.
  • Juan Manuel Lillo's side have picked up only one point from their last three league fixtures, as a result of two away defeats with Osasuna and Athletic, and a 1-1 draw at home with Mallorca.
  • However, at home they are on a run of nine consecutive games without defeat in La Liga (five wins and four draws).
  • Last Saturday's 2-0 defeat in the "Clasico" ended Real Madrid's 12-game unbeaten run in La Liga and was the first time the Merengues failed to score in the last 12 league games.
  • Despite their defeat against Barcelona, Real Madrid still boast the best attack in La Liga (83 goals scored).
