LAST MEETING

28 August 2010: Wolves 1-1 Newcastle

Andy Carroll got his fourth of the season as he cancelled out Sylvan Ebanks-Blake’s first-half opener with the two sides going onto fight for a point in a scrappy game at Molineux where 12 players received yellow cards.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS

Newcastle: Harper; Simpson, Coloccinni, Williamson, Enrique; Guthrie, Barton, Nolan, Ferguson; Lovenkrands, Ameobi.

Wolves: Hennessey; Foley, Stearman, Berra, Elokobi; Hammill, Henry, Milijas, O’Hara, Jarvis; Ebanks-Blake.

Prediction
Both sides are in need of the points with Newcastle being very close to getting dragged into the scrap at the bottom. Mick McCarthy’s side had an impressive win at Villa last time but the loss of Kevin Doyle could affect them.
Newcastle took a battering at Stoke in their last match but if they fail to stamp their authority on the game early the crowd may turn and further dent their already low confidence.
