Gonzalo, Xavi Olivia and Angel Lopez are Villarreal's three long-term injury casualties. Juan Carlos Garrido has no other concerns, with veteran midfielder Marcos Senna expected to keep his place in the starting XI after having just returned from his own lengthy lay-off.

Sergio Ramos returns from suspension while Kaka is expected to also be recalled to the matchday squad after being rested in midweek against Getafe to nurse a muscle strain. Sami Khedira has recovered from his leg injury but it is yet to be determined if he is match fit to play any part against Villarreal.
Prediction
Real Madrid have nothing to play for after settling for second-place following Barcelona's La Liga triumph in midweek. Villarreal have safely booked their place in the Champions League play-offs, but they are stil mathematically in the running to snatch automatic qualification from Valencia. Only a win and a hope of a Los Che defeat will do, however. Jose Mourinho's men will be running low on motivation, but the Yellow Sub are not in the best of form to take advantage.
