The 2011 FA Cup Final - Opta Facts

FA Cup Final - Manchester City v Stoke City - Opta Facts
* This is only the second final since 1991 that hasn't featured one of the traditional "Big Four", after Portsmouth v Cardiff City in 2008.
* This is Manchester City's ninth appearance in the FA Cup final, and their first since 1981. The Citizens have won the competition four times and finished runners-up four times, but haven't lifted the prestigious trophy since 1969 (1-0 v Leicester City).
* Stoke City, on the other hand, will be making their first ever appearance in the FA Cup final.
* The last team to win the FA Cup final on their debut appearance in it was Wimbledon in 1988, who beat Liverpool 1-0 thanks to a Lawrie Sanchez header.
* The sides have been drawn together six times previously in the FA Cup, with City progressing three times and the Potters also winning through on three occasions (including after a replay in last season's fifth round).
* The last four meetings between Stoke and Man City have ended 1-1 after 90 minutes.
* Four of the last eight clashes between the sides in all competitions have seen a side reduced to 10 men.
* Roberto Mancini's men have scored in each of their last 11 FA Cup matches, and kept four successive clean sheets in the competition.
* The Potters have only conceded two goals en route to the 2011 FA Cup Final, scoring 14.
* John Carew has scored seven goals in his last seven FA Cup games.
* Since the start of the 2008/09 FA Cup, only Frank Lampard and Jermaine Beckford (nine each) have scored more goals than Carew (eight).
* Jonathan Walters has scored five goals in six FA Cup games this campaign.
* If Manchester City win the final, Italy will become the first non-British country to have produced three different FA Cup winning managers, with Roberto Mancini joining Carlo Ancelotti and Gianluca Vialli in lifting the cup.
* Only two British managers have lifted the FA Cup since Joe Royle in 1995; Sir Alex Ferguson and Harry Redknapp.
* Tony Pulis could become the first ever Welsh manager to win the competition.
* The Potters have only lost one of their last nine games in all competitions, winning five of them.
* Kenwyne Jones has scored five goals in his last six games.
* Manchester City have won six of their last 12 games in all competitions by a score of 1-0.
