Robin Dutt will have to do without several injured players on Saturday, perhaps the most significant of whom is Andre Schurrle, who broke his nose on international duty in midweek.

Vedran Corluka and Sidney Sam are also sidelined due to muscular problems, while Eren Derdiyok has an ankle knock and Danny da Costa is suffering from a thigh injury. Michael Ballack and Tranquillo Barnetta continue to be unavailable as they continue their rehabilitation from various ailments.

Jupp Heynckes is sweating over the fitness of Franck Ribery, who suffered from a dead leg after taking a knock on Wednesday. Toni Kroos is available as his stand-in should he not be fit in time for the week-end. Definitely missing from the Bayern line-up are Bastian Schweinsteiger (ankle), Daniel van Buyten (metatarsal fracture), and rehabilitating defenders Breno and Diego Contento.

DID YOU KNOW

  • Leverkusen are undefeated at home since the winter break having won twice and drawn one game.
  • Robin Dutt's side have found the net six times in their last two matches: in their previous six fixtures, they scored as many.
  • Lars Bender scored twice last week-end, bringing his tally to four goals on the season: this tally equaled his previous two seasons' combined tallies.
  • Bayern Munich could win their 900th match in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
  • Jupp Heynckes' side are looking for their first away win since the winter break: during that time frame, they have lost once and drawn twice.
  • Manuel Neuer has not conceded in 337 minutes: the last to score on his net was Hamburg's Jacopo Sala, on February 4.
Prediction
Bayern have struggled on the road, and this could easily end in a draw or even a win for Leverkusen. However, with Robben back in form, it would be foolish to bet against the Munich giants.
