Jeonbuk boss Choi Kang-Hee is still sweating on the fitness of his star striker and the 2011 Asian Champions League topscorer Lee Dong-Gook who is battling a thigh injury. If Lee fails to prove his fitness, Jeong Seong-Hoon is his obvious replacement.

The Koreans are already without their skipper and key central defender Cho Sung-Hwan and Croatian forward Krunoslav Lovrek due to suspension. In some good news, Seo Jung-Jin is available for the game despite some talk during the week he'd be required to report for national team duty early. Seo and Brazilian midfielder Eninho were rested from K-League duty on the weekend.

Al Sadd coach Jorge Fossati will be delighted to see key forward duo Abdulkader Keita and Mamadou Niang return to the squad after being suspended for their semi-final second leg against Suwon following red cards. Keita's availability, in particular, has raised a few eyebrows considering the brawl he was involved in which saw opposing number Stevica Ristic suspended for six matches.

The west Asian outfit, who flew into Korea on Wednesday, should welcome back key midfielder Wesam Rizik after injury, while right-back Mesaad Al Hamad could take his place after a broken nose. Qatar international striker Yusef Ahmed is unavailable to due a long-term injury.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Jeonbuk won the ACL in 2006, while Al Sadd lifted Asia's top club prize way back in 1989, and are the only Qatari club to do so.
  • Motors can make it a hat-trick of triumphs for Korean clubs in the ACL if they win on Saturday, following in the footsteps of Pohang Steelers in 2009 and Seongnam Ilhwa in 2010.
  • Al Sadd would become the first west Asian club to lift the ACL since Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad were champions in 2005 if they are victorious.
  • Motors have scored an incredible 31 goals in their 11 ACL matches up until the final, while Al Sadd have only managed 12 strikes in their 11 games in the proper rounds.
  • Jeonbuk have won all of their home games in the ACL this year, scoring 19 goals and conceding just twice, but Al Sadd's away record in this season's edition isn't poor, with one win (which came in Korea), three draws and one loss on the road.

Prediction
Al Sadd will defend deep but the Korean regular season champions' quality in attack should shine through. Jeonbuk have scored an unbelievable 31 goals in this season's ACL and have an abundance of attacking talent even if Lee Dong-Gook is unavailable.
