Opta Facts Ligue 1 - 5th & 6th November


Lille v Evian TG

This will be the first official encounter between these two teams.
Lille have won their last nine L1 encounters with promoted clubs.
Lille have won 14 of their last 20 home games in L1 (five draws and one defeat).
Five of Evian TG's six away games in L1 this season have ended as draws.
All of Evian TG's 14 L1 goals have been scored from inside the penalty area. They are the only team yet to score from outside the box in 2011/12.
ETG have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven Ligue 1 matches.

Auxerre v Toulouse

The last time Auxerre lost three successive Ligue 1 matches was in August 2009.
Toulouse have collected 22 points after 12 match days, which represents their best start to a season since the club's foundation in 1970.
Toulouse are unbeaten in their last three visits to Auxerre in L1; managing one win and two draws.
Toulouse have never kept a clean sheet in their last 12 visits to the Stade Abbé-Deschamps in L1.
Since last season Auxerre have kept only 9 clean sheets in their last 50 matches in L1 (18%).

Caen v Dijon

Dijon have lost their last three L1 matches, only Ajaccio and Auxerre are currently in such poor form.
Caen are unbeaten against Dijon in official encounters, the clubs have played each other six times (all in Ligue 2), with Caen winning four times and the clubs drawing twice.
Caen have won only one of their last five home games in L1.
Dijon have the worst defensive record in L1 having conceded 25 goals after 12 match days this season.
The last eight teams to have conceded at least 25 goals after 12 matches in L1 have all been relegated at the end of the season.

Lorient v Ajaccio

Lorient have only lost once in their last 22 L1 games at their Stade du Moustoir; their last defeat was against Auxerre on the 29th of May (1-2).
Ajaccio have not won any of their last seven matches in Ligue 1 (five draws and two defeats), which is currently the longest winless run in the top-flight.

Marseille v Nice

Nice have lost 16 of their last 17 matches away to Marseille in L1, their only victory at the Vélodrome during that run was on the 29th of August 2007.

Marseille have scored seven headers in Ligue 1 this season and all have been from Mathieu Valbuena assists.

Nancy v Brest

Brest are unbeaten in their last five L1 matches - only PSG, Lille and Marseille can better that record.
Brest are unbeaten in their last six encounters with Nancy in the top flight, managing four wins and two draws.
Brest won both of the L1 matches between these teams last season.
Nancy have not beaten Brest in 25 years with their last victory being on the 19th of January 1986 (2-0).
Nancy are the only team in L1 that have yet to score more than once in a league match this season.
Brest have conceded at least one goal in each of their last eight L1 matches; only Ajaccio are on a worse run conceding in their last 12.

Rennes v Valenciennes

Rennes are unbeaten in their nine home matches in all competitions this season, registering four victories and five draws.
Rennes have opened the scoring in eight of their nine home matches this season. PSG are the only team to have scored before the home team at their Route de Lorient Stadium this season.
Four of the last five official matches at Rennes' ground have ended as 1-1 draws.
Valenciennes have lost six of their seven official away games this season. Their only match that did not end in defeat was a draw away to Nancy (1-1) on the 21st of September.

St Etienne v Montpellier

Montpellier have lost 11 of their last 13 visits to St Etienne in L1, registering a draw and a single victory (2-0 on the 4th of October 1995).
St Etienne have won 84.6% of their L1 home matches against Montpellier, which is their best record against the teams currently in the top flight.
St Etienne have won five of their last six matches against Montpellier in the top flight.
None of the last 15 encounters between these teams in L1 has ended as a draw (nine victories for St Etienne and six for Montpellier).
