Ligue 1 Opta Facts - November 14 - 20


Lyon - Rennes

Rennes are unbeaten in their last six Ligue 1 matches at Lyon's Stade Gerland, with their last five encounters ending in draws, of which the last four with 1-1 score lines.

Lyon are unbeaten in their last 21 home matches in L1 (15 victories and six draws) currently the longest run in the top flight. St Etienne were the last visitors to win at the Gerland, on the 25th of September 2010.

Lyon have won their last five home games in L1, only Paris SG are on a longer run.

Rennes are the only team in the top flight yet to draw away from home this season (four wins and three defeats). Their last draw on the road in L1 was at Lyon's Stade Gerland on the 19th of March (1-1).

Lyon have conceded four penalties in L1 this season, only Rennes and Sochaux have conceded as many.

Lyon have only conceded one goal in the first half a L1 match at the Stade Gerland since the start of last season, an Olivier Giroud goal for Montpellier in the 30th minute of their match on the 27th of April.


Toulouse - Lille

Lille are unbeaten in their last seven L1 matches against Toulouse (three wins and four draws).

The last time Toulouse scored more than once in a home league game against Lille was a 2-2 draw back in 1990/91.

Toulouse have kept clean sheets in their last three home games in Ligue 1.

50% of the goals conceded by Toulouse in the top flight this season have come in the last 15 minutes of their matches (six out of 12).

Lille have won 14 points after falling behind in L1 matches this season, a record in the top flight this season.

Lille are unbeaten in their last 11 league matches, only Paris SG are on a longer run.

Toulouse have not won any of their last seven matches league matches against title holders, registering two draws and five defeats, the last title holder they beat was Lyon (1-0) in August 2007.

Lille have only kept two clean sheets in 19 competitive matches this season (against Rennes and Valenciennes).


Ajaccio - Caen

During their only previous season together in the top flight, Ajaccio and Caen drew both their encounters by the same score line (2-2).

In their 15 official encounters there has only been one away victory; Caen's 2-0 win in the League Cup in November 2004.

Caen have won their last four L1 matches against promoted teams, scoring 12 goals whilst only conceding three.

Ajaccio have lost their last four L1 matches, only Dijon are currently in such poor form in the top flight.

Since the return to the 20 club format in 2002/03, the seven teams that had seven points or less after 13 matchdays were all relegated at the end of the season.

Ajaccio are the only side without a clean sheet this season in Ligue 1.

Ajaccio are on currently on an eight match winless streak in L1 (six defeats and two draws) which is the longest current sequence in the top flight.

Frédéric Bulot has been directly involved in Caen's last five goals in L1 (one goal and four assists).


Dijon - Bordeaux

Dijon and Bordeaux have only officially met once: on the 9th of November 2004 in a League Cup match when Dijon won 2-1 (aet).

Dijon have lost their last four L1 matches, Ajaccio are the only other top flight team to currently be in such poor form.

Dijon have conceded a league-high 28 goals this season, 13 of which have been conceded in their last four league matches.

The last team to concede so many goals at this stage of the league season were Strasbourg who let in 30 in 2000/01.

Yoann Gouffran is the second player to score four consecutive goals for his club in L1 this season, after Modibo Maiga accomplished the same feat for Sochaux.

With five goals this season, Gouffran has already matched his most prolific season for Bordeaux in L1 (five in 09/10).


Évian TG - Lorient

This will be the first official encounter between these teams.

Evian TG are unbeaten in their last three top flight matches (one win and two draws) they have never remained unbeaten for four consecutive L1 matches.

Lorient have not won two league matches in a row since last February.

ETG have scored in the last six matchdays, only Caen and PSG are on a longer run before matchday 14.

Lorient have lost their last two away matches in the top flight and have only won once away from home this season (1-0 against PSG on the first day of the season).

ETG have collected the most cards in L1 this season (38: 36 yellow cards and two red cards).

Yannick Sagbo has scored four goals in his last four L1 games at the Parc des Sports.

Yann Jouffre has been directly involved in 53% of Lorient's goals in the top flight this season (eight out of 15: three goals and five assists).


Nice - St Etienne

St Etienne have not won any of their last nine L1 matches against Nice, losing seven of those encounters, which is their longest winless streak against Nice in the top flight.

10 out of 11 (91%) of Nice's points in L1 this season have been collected at home.

Nice are unbeaten in their last six home matches in L1 (two wins and four draws) their last home defeat was on the first day of the season, against Lyon.

Nice's two victories in the top flight this season have been by 3-0 score lines (against Ajaccio and Bordeaux).

St Etienne are the only team in Ligue 1 this season that have yet to have a substitute score a goal for them.


Montpellier - Marseille

Marseille have won their last three competitive matches against Montpellier, among them, last season's League Cup final.

Montpellier have won only one of their last 11 league games against Marseille, registering seven defeats and three draws.

Montpellier have conceded 10 goals against Marseille since their return to the top flight in 09/10, more than against any other club.

Marseille have won their last three league games, which is currently the best sequence in L1.

Montpellier are unbeaten in their last five league matches (three wins and two draws) which is their best such sequence in 2011.

Olivier Giroud and Souleymane Camara (five each) have scored 10 of Montpellier's 15 goals at their La Mosson stadium in L1 this season.


Brest - Sochaux

Sochaux have not won any of their last nine league visits to Brest (four defeats and five draws); their only top flight success at Brest was back in august 1979 (2-1).

Brest are unbeaten at home in Ligue 1 this season, only Lyon, Lorient and Rennes have such a record after 13 rounds of matches in this season's L1.

Brest have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last nine L1 matches, only Ajaccio are on a longer run (13 without a clean sheet).

Sochaux have kept only one clean sheet in their last 16 league matches.

Ryad Boudebouz is L1's most prolific midfielder in 2011 with 11 goals.

Ryad Boudebouz has converted all the penalties he has taken in L1 (eight out of eight).

Brest's Alex Dupont has only lost five out of his 44 home matches as a Ligue 1 coach.


Valenciennes - Auxerre

Auxerre are unbeaten in their last four L1 encounters with Valenciennes (one victory and three draws).

Auxerre have only won two of their last 20 away matches in L1 (away to Toulouse and Lorient last season).

Valenciennes, along with Lorient, have the best defence at home in L1 this season, having conceded only three goals.

Valenciennes' Hainault stadium has seen the most 0-0 draws in Ligue 1 this season (two).

Valenciennes have only lost won of their last 17 home matches in L1, their only defeat being against Bordeaux on the 27th of August.

Laurent Fournier has only managed to win four of his 31 away matches as a Ligue 1 manager.


Paris SG - Nancy

Nancy are unbeaten in their last four matches against PSG in the top flight, registering a victory and three draws.

Nancy have managed more away wins at the Parc des Princes than at any other ground in Ligue 1 (nine)

However, Nancy have not won any of their last seven league matches at the Parc des Princes (two defeats and five draws)

PSG are unbeaten in their last 12 league matches (nine wins and three draws) which is the best current unbeaten run in L1. It is also the Parisian club's longest unbeaten run since 2003/04 (when they remained unbeaten for 17 matches between September 2003 and March 2004).

PSG have won their last six league matches at their Parc des Princes stadium (the last three by a two goal margin) which is their best sequence at home in 11 years (nine straight wins between March and October 2000).

Nancy have collected only one point away from home in L1 this season (registering one draw and five defeats).

Nene is the highest goal scorer at home in L1 this season, all of his six goals have been scored at the Parc des Princes.
