FA Cup Opta Facts - Round 5 18-19 February


Liverpool v Brighton & Hove Albion
Liverpool and Brighton have been drawn together four times in the FA Cup with two wins each.
Both Liverpool's victories have come after drawing at home and winning away on the south coast in a replay.
The two sides have already met once this season, with the reds winning 2-1 away from home in the Carling Cup.
Liverpool have exited the FA Cup twice in the last few seasons at home to lower league opposition at Anfield; 2008 v Barnsley and 2010 v Reading.
Brighton haven't won away against a top division side in the FA Cup since they beat Newcastle in 1986.
Since then they have lost five times and drawn one, but the last time they didn't lose was in 1991 at Anfield (2-2).
Steven Gerrard has scored eight goals in his last 11 FA Cup starts.

Everton v Blackpool
Everton have been eliminated in four of the last five FA Cup seasons at Goodison Park and two of their last three exits at home have come at the hands of lower league teams.
The last meeting between these two sides was in last season's Premier League at Goodison Park and it ended 5-3 to the Toffees.
In the last two meetings between the two sides there were 12 goals netted.
A clean sheet against Sheffield Wednesday ended a run of nine FA Cup games without a shut out for Blackpool.
Prior to this season, Blackpool had been knocked out in each of their previous five FA Cup ties.
The Tangerines hadn't reached Round 5 since 1990 before defeating Wednesday and haven't made the 6th Round since 1959.
Everton have kept only one clean sheet in their last nine FA Cup matches.

Chelsea v Birmingham City
Chelsea have won 13 and lost just one of the last 19 matches in all competitions with Birmingham.
The Londoners have won eight and lost none of the last 10 meetings between the two sides at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have won 18 and lost one of their last 21 FA Cup matches on home soil; that defeat though was only via a penalty shoot out.
Birmingham have won five of their last six FA Cup matches away from home.
The Midlanders have kept four clean sheets in their last five FA Cup matches.
Frank Lampard has scored 18 goals in his last 24 FA Cup appearances.
Didier Drogba has scored six goals in his last nine FA Cup games.
Daniel Sturridge has scored seven goals in eight FA Cup appearances including six in five starts for Chelsea in the competition.

Crawley Town v Stoke City
Stoke have won their last four FA Cup matches away from home, keeping a clean sheet in three of those games.
Crawley have won their last three home FA Cup ties.
Stoke have won seven of their last eight FA Cup matches, the exception being last season's FA Cup final.
Jonathan Walters has scored six goals in his last eight FA Cup matches.
Robert Huth has scored in five of his last seven FA Cup appearances.
Cameron Jerome has scored in each of his last three FA Cup starts.

Stevenage v Tottenham Hotspur
Stevenage haven't conceded a goal in their four FA Cup ties this season.
Spurs have kept clean sheets in three of their last four FA Cup matches.
Tottenham haven't lost in the FA Cup to a lower division side since Leicester outfoxed them in 2006.
Jermain Defoe has scored eight goals in his last 10 FA Cup starts.
Spurs have lost just one of their last six away matches in all competitions.
Tottenham have only scored two goals in their last five FA Cup matches not played at White Hart Lane.

Norwich City v Leicester City
Norwich won both league meetings with Leicester last season by a one-goal margin but there were 12 goals scored across the two matches.
Wes Hoolahan netted three times in two clashes with the Foxes last term.
The last time Norwich progressed beyond the fifth round was in 1992 when they reached the semi-final.
Leicester haven't conceded in their three FA Cup ties this season.
Grant Holt has scored six goals in his last five FA Cup starts.
Norwich have kept just one clean sheet in their last 17 FA Cup matches and none in their last 17 in the competitions against fellow league sides.
Jermaine Beckford has scored 14 goals in his last 11 FA Cup starts.

Sunderland v Arsenal
The Gunners have won only two of their last seven FA Cup ties away from home.
Robin van Persie has scored seven goals in his last nine FA Cup appearances.
Arsenal's first FA Cup tie under Arsene Wenger was against Sunderland, with the Gunners wining 2-0 at Roker Park in a 3rd Round replay in 1997.
The two clubs have been drawn together six times, with each side progressing on three occasions.
Sunderland have won two, drawn two and lost two of their last six FA Cup home matches.
The only three games Martin O'Neill has lost as Sunderland manager have been odd-goal defeats to Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Arsenal (in the Premier League last weekend).

Millwall v Bolton Wanderers
Bolton are unbeaten in their last four FA Cup ties away from home.
The Trotters have lost just one of their last nine FA Cup matches.
Chris Eagles has scored four goals in his last five FA Cup appearances.
Bolton and Millwall have been drawn together on two occasions with the Trotters progressing on both occasions.
The last three games between Millwall and Bolton have ended 1-0, but the two sides haven't met since 1995.
Millwall have needed replays in both rounds so far in getting to this stage.
