Lucien Favre is set to make adjustments to his side after right-winger Patrick Herrmann fractured his clavicle last weekend. Marco Reus will likely drop into his role out wide, leaving Igor de Camargo and fit-again striker Mike Hanke in the centre of attack. Otherwise, Gladbach will have the same line-up that featured in last weekend's 2-1 win over Kaiserslautern.

Thorsten Fink is expected to retain the core XI that lost 3-1 in last week's derby against Werder Bremen, with Jacopo Sala standing in for the injured Gokhan Tore on the right wing. Slobodan Rajkovic is tipped to retain his role in central defence, but Jeffrey Bruma remains an option.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Monchengladbach have Europe's best goals-against record, having conceded just 13 times: a rate of 0.59 per game.
  • Marco Reus has scored or provided an assist in four of his first five Bundesliga games during the 2012 calendar year.
  • Lucien Favre's side have won four of their five games since the winter break.
  • Hamburg have earned twice as many wins away from home (four) as at the HSH Nordbank Arena this season.
  • Striking duo Mladen Petric and Jose Paolo Guerrero have combined for four goals and two assists in 2012. Hamburg have scored six times during this time.
  • HSV have won their last two away games: 1-0 in Koln and 2-1 in Berlin.
Prediction
Gladbach are in remarkable form and have dropped points at home just twice this season: against a notoriously leaky Hamburg defence, they not only are likely to win, but have a good chance to run up the score.
Editor's Prediction
