06-03-2011 19:00 Athletic Bilbao - Sevilla

DID YOU KNOW?
Athletic have lost their last three fixtures by a scoreline of 2-1, preceeded by a 1-0 loss to Mallorca.
Curiously, three of Athletic's four home defeats this season also ended 2-1.
In the last seven years, Sevilla have won five matches at San Mames, more times than any other visiting team to the Basque side.
Alvaro Negredo has scored three goals in Sevilla's last three away matches.
Athletic have not been involved in a single scoreless draw in La Liga this season. Sevilla have played in two scoreless draws, but neither were in an away fixture.
Los Leones are Freddie Kanoute's favourite side to score against, having notched nine goals in nine games against the Basque outfit.

LAST MEETING
October 24th, 2010: Sevilla 4-3 Athletic Bilbao

Sevilla were able to come out on top in the seven goal thriller, as Fabiano and Kanoute both hit a brace. Llorente also grabbed a double for the visitors, with Igor Gabilondo netting the stray goal.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS
Athletic: Iraizoz; San Jose, Ekiza, Ustaritz, Iraola; Susaete, Orbaiz, Martinez, Gabilondo; Muniain, Llorente

Sevilla: Varas; Navarro, Escude, Fazio, Dabo; Perotti, Rakitic, Zokora, Navas; Kanoute, Negredo

Prediction
Sevilla have improved drastically in recent weeks, whilst Athletic have simply deteriorated. I would anticipate a close game with both teams scoring, but the trend of Athletic losing games by a single goal is bound to be bucked eventually.
